The world is gradually filling up with more energy saving cars than we could shake a stick at. We have the electric cars, the low emissions cars, the high mileage cars. We have the fuel cell cars, the as of yet uninvented cars, and even alcohol powered cars. We have cars that smell of chip fat, and cars running off palm oil. All of which is very good, but which begs the question - which energy saving car is best?!

Well, I have an answer. The answer won't hold if you live somewhere where you often have to nip off road, possibly to retrieve some logs or fell a bear. It won't work, either, if you drive all the time, on big roads and from city to city Autel MK808. If you live in a city or a town and do largely only urban driving, then the answer will definitely be relevant to you - a Smart.

Now, before you run away in horror, here me out. Firstly, Smart cars aren't anywhere near as unattractive as people make out. These smart cars offer something called Micro hybrid drive, which explains the efficiency. In an arena where every little counts, this can make all the difference. This system uses that well publicised start/stop technology to make the car use less fuel, switching off when the car gets below 5mph. It sounds a lot more dangerous than it is - this is the sort of thing that you won't notice until you see the savings!

See, all in all there are lots of compelling reasons to consider a Smart car when going green. You may want a back up car for long journeys, but when zooming around the city you are going to be hard pressed to find something that does the job better. Of course, shop around, but don't be afraid to at the least consider the unconventional Smart car as an option!

Buying a used car is always full of warning signs and alarm bells. Sure, there are a few scare stories hanging around, but buying a used car doesn't have to be the mission some people make it out to be! With that kind of money, you could buy yourself something smaller, cheaper, and more economical than the Mercedes, and put the cash you've saved towards something else. If you're quick, you might still be able to clinch a bargain through the government's scrappage scheme. But as mentioned before, the scheme is due to draw to a close soon so you better be quick.

When we think of travelling, we tend to think of cars, or planes. Or even trains, although they aren't exactly the most reliable mode of transport in the world. We like to travel to get away from thing - so rather than "travelling" to work each day, for example, we talk instead about travelling around the world, or travelling to an exciting destination. The word "travelling" rarely refers, however, to our everyday moving from A to B on the very most natural method of transport - our feet Autel MaxiSys MS908. It is, you see, a little unicycle style creation that looks a little like a bottle opener, odd as that sounds. You perch on this creation, upright but kind of sitting down, and by angling your body you steer it wherever you need to go.

I maintain that in all likelihood you will look just as insane zooming around on this modern space age creation as you would on a Segway. However, the design and sitting position makes it a little more exciting and acceptable, and it wouldn't surprise me if this turned out to be quite a popular gimmick in the coming few years - much like those tiny miniature bikes were for full-grown adults just a few years ago. It is probably expensive, but all good trends are, and people who invest in one will be safe in the knowledge that nipping to the shops is both more comfortable and quicker than it would be if you were travelling by foot.

It is a gimmick and a bit of fun from the light-hearted Honda brand - but is this sort of thing the future of travel?

It is hard to believe, when you look at their modern range of everyday cars, that Chrysler were actually established way back in the heady heyday of the automobile world, in 1925. Originally the Maxwell Motor Company, Chrysler was rather boringly born from a "reorganisation", and having been hired in to save the ailing company somehow ended up transforming it into something new and completely unfamiliar.

Financial difficulties have plagued the company for years, culminating in this year's credit crunch issues. On April 30, 2009 Chrysler LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and announced a plan for a partnership with Italian automaker Fiat. On June 1, Chrysler LLC stated they were selling some assets and operations to the newly formed company Chrysler Group LLC. It's a complicated business!

Nowadays you can still find many a new and used Chrysler dealership all around the world. In the UK specifically, they retail a specific set of modern cars. Still remarkably affordable, yet packing large engines and a hefty amount of power launch x431 pro plus, these Chryslers are very distinctive cars. The least distinctive end of the range is the Grand Voyager, designed for spacious family use. The looks match expectations - this is big, chunky and with plenty of seats. The Sebrings are the ones with the clearly Chrysler looks, although you needn't worry about them going over the top - these are smart executive cars that are kitted out accordingly. Finally, the most distinctive car of the modern Chrysler bunch, the 300C. This is huge and masculine, with an intimidating front grill and an incredibly obvious shape - you would see this stylish car coming down the street at you from a mile off.

All in all the company seems to be on an even keel - but if the car market doesn't pick up fully then they may need a little more help.
